What a great way to learn about Brooklyn whether you are a visitor, native, or new transplant! Dom did an excellent job at covering all aspects of the maker movement- the history, the changes the city underwent, the rebirth of craftsmanship. I only wish I could have made it to all his Made in Brooklyn tours of other neighborhoods during my visit to NYC. He saw a need for tours like this and came up with an outstanding, educational, and fun tour of Dumbo's makers. I highly recommend!

You'll be hard pushed to find a more informative, friendly or accommodating guide than Dom who shares his in-depth knowledge and enthusiasm of the Brooklyn neighbourhoods and the 'maker movement' on this enlightening tour. You'll cover a lot of ground, tour a number of businesses and meet the local owners combined with a detailed history of the area and what's planned for its future. Top tips: don't eat before you go, you'll be sampling some of the local foods (and don't miss out on the beer bagel and home made cream cheese in The Bagel Store (on the Williamsburg tour) - it's outstanding). We found the meeting spot tricky to find with our map - if you look for the Pudge Knuckles coffee shop when you arrive at South 4th and Kent Avenue you'll be in the right spot.

Dom made our "Annual Girl's Weekend" memorable and fun with a tour of Red Hook. The "makers" on the tour were welcoming and informative and Dom has clearly cultivated a relationship with them to afford his guest and unique and personable introduction to the maker movement in Brooklyn. Highly recommend any tour of any Brooklyn neighborhood with him!
