We just returned from Oahu. We spent 3 nights in Waikiki and 6 nights on the north shore. On our second day in Waikiki, we spent a full day with Chace. We had such a great day!! It was a great introduction to the whole island. We went snorkelling, SUP up rivers, ate lunch at a great food truck, hiked to a waterfall and just got a lot of insights into Hawaii. We went to the north and east of the island all in one day! We spent the rest of the week reflecting on how much we had done with Chace and how good it was to have him give us pointers for the rest of the week. The yummy food truck we had eaten wasn’t there after that day. Lucky we experienced it with Chace. Super nice guy and guide! PS - thanks for the awesome photos!

We had been planning our trip to Oahu for several months and came across Mahina. It sounded like a cool way to experience the island without having to drive, do any of the planning, etc. We were a little hesitant because it was one of more expensive tours we were considering, but eventually decided it was a go and booked it! Leading up to our trip I communicated a bit with them and explained I had a pretty decent itinerary already and wanted to make sure we were doing something different than I had already planned on this day. It was taken into consideration and was told I’d receive communication with what would be planned. I did have to reach out the day before because I hadn’t received any information and was contacted pretty quickly after that. We discussed some of my interests, what we’d be comfortable doing and not doing, etc. We were picked up on time by Connor and had a nice flowing day ahead of us. We had a surf lesson, went snorkeling, did a small hike, stopped for lunch, did another small trail to see a banyan tree, stopped at the beach where people kayak to Chinaman’s Hat for pictures, and stopped at two lookouts, one of which they accommodated for the sunset. I think this kind of excursion is perfect for people that don’t do a lot of planning for themselves. Connor was great, we had great conversation, and he definitely checked in with us during the excursion. I don’t think there was a lot of room to make changes to the itinerary because we did drive out about 90 minutes to start the activities to begin with. The highlights of the trip was the surfing and seeing sea turtles while surfing. I’d certainly recommend the excursion for people who aren’t sure what they’ll be doing in Oahu. This group will have a nice day planned out for you and you’ll have plenty of fun. Take advantage of all these guides being all about adventure. They’ll keep up with you. I’m glad we brought our own cameras (most of the included pictures our ours). We didn’t get too much footage from them in the water and I really wish we would’ve got footage from surfing, but understand why it wasn’t exactly possible; maybe next time!

We had an awesome day with our guide, Chase. We had three in our group, me, my wife, and her brother, all 50’s-60’s. It was great to have someone with local knowledge plan the day and pick us up at our doorstep. Lots of great local info and friendly conversation during the ride all day long. Chase took pics for us at every stop. We hiked to a secluded waterfall, we kayaked to an iconic remote island, climbed on trails and explored tide pools, kayaked back to shore, about 3/4 miles each way. It started poring rain on the return to shore, which actually was fun and energizing, a perfect example of the unexpected pleasures of the day. Seemed like no matter what we were going to be doing next, it was going to be a once in a lifetime kind of day. From there, we went down the road to get some great lunch at a food truck camp that had lots of choices. By that point, I knew to just ask Chase what he liked, and were not disappointed. Smash burger, Taro fries, Ahi Poke and curry plate. Delish! Another rain shower fell, but it just hit the tarp over our picnic table, no worries. Last stop was one of the best snorkel spots I’ve ever been to. Amazing reef architecture, dozens of species, 3 turtles! A few cliff jumps (by Chase, he invited, we watched). You will not regret a tour like this! So yonic! M3G4L0H4!!
