First, Captain John was so good! Fun & knowledgeable. Nothing compared to what I’ve read here about some tip-pushy Captain..We saw 2-3 manatees (Spotted by my daughter Oceane!) and 1 Alligator during our 90 minutes (or so) boat ride. It’s a great activity, although you won’t go in the Gulf in a speedy boat, it is a gently Ponton cruise in man-made canals, part of a marina/residential area, it’s a pretty gentle ride which the young kids might found boring at some point if there is not much to see. They do guarantee you’ll see at least 1 Manatee or they book you the next day for another cruise, free of charge.
I recommend doing it if you never did it before, but it’s not an activity I would do everytime I visit the area since its quite pricey for a family of five. Kids below 10yo should pay a lower price in my opinion.

Hi there!
We do have a tour that goes out towards the Gulf of Mexico to the 10,000 Islands with faster speeds and more wildlife sightings such as dolphins and sea turtles! This specific tour stops at Whitehorse Key, an uninhabited island where you can go shelling/swimming. Perhaps this may be a more fun and exciting tour for you and your family next time you are in town!
Kids 3-12 are $16 LESS than the adult ticket price and 0-2 are $32 LESS than the adult price. We wish we could offer a certain age and under for much cheaper or even free, but unfortunately can only put 6 people per boat per USCG law no matter age or weight. Because of this, we must charge regardless of age in order to stay in business. Hope that makes sense!
