Wycieczka po manatach/zachodzie słońca/bioluminescencji

Przegląd
Experience everything the wildlife refuge has to offer with three distinct experiences packed into one three-hour tour! Launch your kayak in the daylight and surround yourself with Florida’s most-loved endangered species, West Indian Manatees! Sit back while the gentle giants roll, sniff, and nuzzle all around you. Dolphins are also active this time of day as they wrangle their dinner in the adjacent cove.

Next, head out to Bird Island, a federally protected rookery, to watch hundreds of birds soar in overhead. Ibis, herons, egrets, pelicans, cormorants, and roseate spoonbills and more all glide in their flocks to nest for the night. Be lulled into serenity by the gently rocking kayak as the sun descends for the night in the pinks, oranges, and reds of sunset.

Finally, the tour culminates in the season’s bioluminescent experience, whether it be summer bioluminescence, winter comb jelly bioluminescence, or a star-studded moonlit sky.

My husband and I took this tour hoping to see both wildlife and bioluminescence. We were a little late in the season to see bioluminescence, but our tour guide Drew was able to catch several comb jellies and put them in a glass jar for a few moments to show us the glow. The manatees more than made up for the lack of bioluminescence. Drew took us to a couple of coves where they like to hang out, and they put on a show for us! They were comfortable swimming and playing right by our kayak! We enjoyed them for a couple of hours before seeing an absolutely beautiful sunset. Great tour-we will definitely come back when it is the season for bioluminescence!

The three-hour kayaking tour was great. Caleb did a good job touring us around and making sure everyone was a great time. Make sure to bring a bug spray. The mosquitos/bugs can be annoying but its not really a big deal once you get moving into the water.

Drew and Aiden (sp) did an excellent job on this tour. Drew took the lead and was extremely knowledgeable about the area and its wildlife. Aiden showed true concern for the comfort of the tour goers. My primary desire was to see manatees and I was overjoyed at the amount of animals I saw. The bioluminescence wasn't quite as bright as I thought it would be but you could definitely see it. I would highly recommend this tour.
