It was an opportunity to meander through the city streets, on a sight-seeing tour, as we slowly made our way to the airport.
The patience of the driver, as we negotiated the grid-locked traffic, was something to be admired.
The journey helped to gain a better appreciation of the challenges faced in travelling by road in New York.
