We went on the Matanuska Glacier Hike Tour with our guide, David. There were 6 people in our group, and David picked us up promptly from our hotels. The drive to the glacier was about 2 hours, and we stopped halfway to buy snacks and use the restroom. When we arrived at the glacier, we were given helmets and spikes for our shoes. The glacier guide took over and led us through 2 miles of the glacier over 3 hours, with spectacular views in all directions. After the hike, our group went next door for lunch. It was a delicious meal and the group enjoyed relaxing and getting to know each other. David drove us back and again we stopped halfway at the store before heading to the hotels. I would highly recommend this excursion. It is an all day tour (approx 7:30 am to 5:30 pm) and well worth it. Tip: wear waterproof shoes because your shoes WILL get wet.

I went on the Matanuska Glacier Hike and I had a great time! My driver, David, did a great job keeping the long drive fun and informative. I learned a ton of interesting things about alaska, while also getting to take in the wonderful scenery. Plus, David had snacks and water for us along the drive. The glacier itself was stunning, well worth the drive. We only ventured along the terminal bit of the glacier, but there were lots of great views and cool features. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention the great customer service. Derek, the company owner, returned a backup pair of shoes that fell out of my bag in the van. I would totally recommend this tour!!

It was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. The nature is way too breathtaking For me to have any words to justify the beauty of it. Plus, David was our guid this time and he is so welcoming and helpful, with a lot of useful informations and most importantly a heart with full of love and passion for Anchorage! Highly recommended!!!!!
