Wielkie przygody
Następnie pojedziemy do czubka lodowca, aby założyć buty i kaski i rozpocząć pieszą eksplorację lodowca. To jedyna w życiu okazja do eksploracji lodu lodowcowego!

We had very good experience on our matanuska glacier walk tour . Our tour guide Bill was very friendly and kind person. He listened to my son's never ending questions and answered all of them with patience. My 12yr old son had great time with him. Bill was accompanied by second tour guide(sorry I forgot her name ) she was lovely person. During the tour they made us walk in one single line and I was usually the last person with multiple photo stops .She used to wait and make sure i walked safely. If cost is not a factor i will highly recommend this tour to everyone for multiple reasons. You just walk-in with winter wear and they provide all boots, crampons, walk us safely through the glacier(extremely important). No hassle of transport. They pickup drop off at our hotel. This is road accessible glacier and we tend to think renting a car is cheaper but i guess we made a good decision on taking this tour because they came on time as promised ,my husband was off the wheel relaxing while they did the driving in that unpredictable weather. It was raining and a small portion of the drive is mud road which was bit scary. At end of the tour I was surprised that they made arrangements for lunch at good restaurant with view of glaciers instead of providing some to-go sandwiches. I would love to give 5 rating but i was not truly not happy with the glacier itself. All glacier surrounding area is covered in silt, couldn't walk very close to the glacier due to safety issues .I didn't see lot of light blue glacier like i imagined. it was very cloudy and couldn't take good pics. Below is my son with Bill :)

Steve did an excellent job of providing us with background history and local knowledge to enhance our Matanuska Glacier hike. I always learn more about an experience when I'm on a tour. Lots of photo ops and all you need to wear are comfortable walking shoes.

I did the Matanuska Glacier Summer Tour with Greatland Adventures a couple of weeks ago and it definately exceeded my expectations. I was fortunate to have a solo tour because I was the only one that day. The scenery on the way to the glacier was amazing and we were able to stop for photos a couple of times. On the way to the glacier Steve and his two guides told me a lot about Alaska and at the glacier Steve explained things about the glacier. Big thanks to Steve for using kilometers instead of miles. The glacier was absolutely spectacular! We were able to take a little bit longer walk and also saw an amazing glacial lake with superclear blue/green colors. After the walk we had a good lunch at a nearby restaurant with a beautiful view to the glacier. This tour was absolutely one of the highlights of my holiday in Alaska!
