My friend and I went to Memphis in Sep 2024 and we would NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND IT. We took a Memphis City tour and it was horrible. The tour guide was terrible, excessively loud and pushy. Beale Street was a dump as all the other area of the downtown. The only good thing downtown was the Peabody Hotel. It was gorgeous, once you got inside. Majority of the downtown was closed and boarded up and homeless everywhere. The hotel Laquinta Downtown was good and clean. But they warned us not to go out at night. Even Graceland was a disappointment. Save your money and bypass Memphis all together.

The tour was more than I imagine it to be. Our tour guide Liz was excellent. She knew her stuff and was quite knowledgeable as to the history of Sun. I figured it would be a quick stop and go after a couple pictures. Thank for a neat experience.

Our pick up was forgotten about, I phoned the contractor and they apologised sent us a mini bus to pick us up within 5 mins. Fairplay that was great service. 👍 Thankfully we had only missed the introduction. Fantastic trip around the city, Sam our driver had so much knowledge and was great to listen to. Sun studio was something else. Crazy to imagine we were standing were so many amazing musicians stood before. It's was brilliant. We stopped off at the Peabody hotel to watch the duck patade, that was so cute to see. Tome to explore Beale street with all the bars with Fantastic music. I would definitely recommend this trip. Especially if you get Sam as your driver.
