Had a fun time. Breath taking scenery. Jason ,our guide, was excellent. Got to see an eagle, glacier and football field. Doesn’t get any better

Alaska Travel Adventures - Jason was our guide ( Capt. Red Beard) This was my favorite excursion of our Alaska trip. The team provided all our rafting gear, ensured that it was properly fitted, and went over safety guidelines multiple times. Although I was apprehensive, I am so glad we did this! You cannot beat the splendid backdrop of the Mendenhall Glacier as you sit below it in a raft. Jason was our guide and had control of the paddles, which was fine by me, since we were about to ride class 2 rapids down the glacial river. He was knowledgeable, and entertaining. He also took time out for several photos of individuals and groups in his raft. Although the scenery was beautiful along the river, we also viewed the unfortunate destruction of the most recent flooding that was seen on the news just 2 weeks prior to our paddle. Jason explained that the flooding changed the course of the river and the guides had to learn the new flow. Their team also responded to help clean up the debris. Since we had to remove our shoes and leave our bags at the input, I didn’t know how we would get them back since we had paddled several miles down the river. The team had them waiting for us, shoes lined up, at the output. I would do this excursion again in a heartbeat!

We had Isaac as our Boat Captain and he was phenomenal. Very personal, knowledgeable and very experienced with the boat. It was a very enjoyable trip with fun but easy rapids
