Can someone say "breathtaking"?! From the minute that I interacted with the young lady who checked me in to the snacks at the end! But wait, let's talk about the spiritual experience of being with Lance out on Mendenhall Glacier Lake and River. First things first, they are serious about safety, from telling you how to put on your waders, boots, and lifevest, to how to get onto the float boat! Then the magic began! I was a paddler so I paddled on the third row right in front of Lance, our guide. He took control as we got as close as was allowed to the Glacier and then there were the rapids! You will get wet but that made the Glacier experience even more profound! As we paddled pass the Glacier, across the lake and down the river, Lance kept us entertained with knowledge, jokes and wild life sightings. We saw two eagles at different points. They just stood at the edge of the river as we went by. There were lots of salmon jumping and building nests to spawn! This was a bucketlist experience for me and a part of my birthday trip! It did not disappoint!

Larson was an exceptional guide rower and fun to be there with him! We saw salmon eagles white water and beautiful views of the glacier!! It was Larsons Birthday and mine as well what fun!!!!!
