I LOVED the mermaid photo shoot I did with my daughter (age 3) and a friend -- and the photos are darling! We met Julie at the beach and she instantly made us feel comfortable. The adults wore our own tops, and Julie provided the mermaid tails, jewelry (including super cute headbands!), and skin sparkles. Julie had kid-sized costumes -- including a top and tail that was easy for my daughter to walk in. Once we were dressed and decorated, we went over to the rocks and water's edge for some terrific photos! Julie had some suggestions for poses, and encouraged us to play around, too. I think this would be a terrific idea for anyone looking to feel glamorous -- anything from a birthday party, bachelorette party, or even engagement photos. Thank you, Julie!

My husband, our 2 kids (3 & 6 yo) and I recently visited Santa Cruz. The highlight of our trip was spending a day at the beach with Julie of Mermaid Memories. We had the best time dressing up in beautiful mermaid/merman gear, including gorgeous tails and accessories. That part of the day was great fun in and of itself! But then we posed for lots of pictures in front of iconic, colorful buildings, near the pier, and of course, in and near the water. Julie was so great with our kids! Her enthusiasm was contagious. She was professional, easy-going, and gave helpful direction. And the pictures are so beautiful! My husband was reluctant to don his tail at first, but in the end even he had fun! It’s not everyday you get to play mermaid family at the beach! We even purchased the tails our kids wore, so the mermaid fun continues at home! We will cherish these memories, and the photos, forever. I highly recommend booking a session when you visit Santa Cruz.
