Castle Valley is the poster child for western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a movie, TV show, or commercial. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!

This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful red-rock canyon. As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall.

You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

Ask for Gunner to be your river guide. The dude is hilarious. Great stories, fun guy, good chatter--but also very knowledgeable about the area. Even shared some of the geographical origins. Excellent service and great trip. Greeted warmly by all staff when we pulled in. Rafts were clean and in great shape. The water was still a little cold (May) if you're one who likes jumping out of the raft and swimming in the calm parts. The river is running high right now and there's not much white water on the 1/2 day trip. It's more scenic and relaxing than exciting. Even young children would be fine. Still awesome. Highly recommended.

We truly enjoyed our time on the water with Gunner and Z! They were friendly, informative, and guided us downriver at the perfect pace for our two daughters age 6 and 8. If you’re interested in time well spent check them out!
