We saw roughly 20-30 whales. Nine of which came very far up above water but we did see their backs and some showed us their tails. We even saw different kind of whales. The guide was super knowledgeable and very friendly. Please remember to tip at the end of the tour. They don't bring it up but it does help the guides a lot.

Fabulous whale watching tour! Organized, great boat, super comfortable. Excellent guide who was informative, easy to understand, loves marine life and is an excellent nature guide. We left on time and arrived safely back in the harbor with an excellent captain of the boat and all of the staff were top notch. Everyone on board was impressed with the notification of whales and dolphins and how the boat was guided to the perfect spot to watch them several times

It was fun, laid back, very easy and dazzling to see whales. The naturalists were knowledgeable and the boat was comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend this team! January might be kind of cold and slow time, but there is NO bad time in the Monterey Bay. Humpbacks put on the most show.
