As a protected marine sanctuary rich with nutrients, the Monterey Bay Submarine Canyon thrives with a bounty of breathtaking wildlife including Humpback Whales, Killer Whales, Gray Whales, Blue Whales, Sperm Whales, Risso Dolphins, Long Beaked Common Dolphin, Bottlenose Dolphin, Dall’s Porpoise, Mola Mola aka Ocean Sunfish, Jellyfish, Sea Turtles, Sea Lions, Pelicans, Sea Otters and so much more!

Overall a great experience. Professional crew onboard willing to answer questions and made it enjoyable. Saw one calf but it was such a great day with lots of room on the boat to walk around and enjoy the view.

Nice tour. Professional crew. Saw a few whales poking up but that’s how nature goes. It was a beautiful day on the water. I’m not sure how it works but it felt like the captain kept steering away from our view. Also, not quite a fan of the $40 up charge just go upstairs. Probably would’ve made sense on a full cruise, maybe, but in all honesty, you’re not getting anything extra from what we could tell.

after arriving to the office on the wharf, we learned we were the only 2 reserved... the office manager was very informative and helpful...and we were grateful for the 20+people who came after and signed up. so we had a very fulfilling trip with whale action, many seals, birds, slight look at a dolphin group. It was very clear day, no white caps, cold wind though.. quite a few were sea sick as we rocked and rolled. the captain and crew were great! wonderful first time experience. we ate after at the old fisherman's grotto restaurant with great food, fast service, nice table, really good waiter Saul. thankyou!!
