If you go with Navajo spirit tours you will find all our guides are unique and amazing, they bring the Valley alive with their love for teaching and sharing their firsthand experiences within Navajo culture. They have all grown up locally so have a wealth of knowledge that they so eloquently and freely share. They love a good adventure and look at each guest that visits as a friend. Navajo Spirit tours doesn’t want you to just visit they want you to take a bit of Monument Valley home with you in your heart.

Our tour guide, Larson , made our tour very enjoyable. By taking the tour we went into restricted areas that you could not see by driving yourself. Beautiful!

Will Cowboy was a fabulous guide. Not only did he take us to the many spectacular vantage points but he was able to talk to the movies and commercials filmed at the locations. Being raised in the area, Will was able to interject the Navajo culture, stories from his grandfather and spoke to how the Native Americans lived in the area. I will say that he peaked our interest to explore the culture much more in depth. He also sang a fantastic song! Monument Valley is a beautiful area and visiting was a life highlight. Upon returning we watched John Wayne’s The Searchers. Most of the movie was filmed on site and the scenery is gorgeous. Just turn down the sound to ignore the crazy acting and predictable plot. One word of advice, check the time zone and time of tour. We incorrectly assumed the area was AZ time and had to make up time getting there.

We very much enjoyed our tour guide, Sariah. Hearing the experiences and insights from a Navajo woman about Monument Valley added a richness to our experience that we would not have otherwise received. We enjoyed visiting the hoghan, and hearing about the life experiences of the weaver. We would highly recommend Navajo Spirit Tours!
