Hear the quintessential ghost stories that locals have grown up with, background on the pirates who were said to have frequented the local shores 300 years ago, and historical commentary on the influential families who lived in the area and helped shape our nation's history. IF YOUR OBJECTIVE IS TO SPEND TIME AT AREA ATTRACTIONS, THIS IS NOT THE TOUR FOR YOU. This 2-hour narrated tour serves as an introduction to wonderful places that we will be passing by that you'll want to come back and visit. BRIEF STOPS, where passengers will hop off for just a FEW MINUTES, include The Pawleys Island Hammock Shops Village and at a photo-worthy overlook in Murrells Inlet. Board at 9:45 AM in front of the Grand 14 Theater at The Market Common. GUESTS MUST BE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OLD FOR THIS TOUR. It is best that you book prior to the Monday before your desired tour.

Guests will visit the Hammock Weavers studio and meet a legendary local artisan who will show them how the world famous Pawleys Island hammocks are made. Restrooms are available before returning to the trolley.

Murrells Inlet

The trolley will pause for a photo opportunity of a panoramic view of Murrells Inlet, SC, that looks, in part, much like it did 300 years ago when pirates were among the inlet's visitors. There is no restroom at this stop.

My brother, sister-in-law, niece and I took the tour and I must say Kathryn, the narrator, was amazing. The tour itself was incredible. It was a great mix of ghost stories and historical facts, and add in the chance to get off the trolley several times, and this tour was second to none! From one tour guide to another, thank you, and job well done!!

It always warms my heart to know that my guests have enjoyed this tour that I love so much, but to receive such praise from someone of your caliber is next level. For anyone else reading this, I had the privilege of meeting Dwayne and his family yesterday. The stories that were told during the tour were probably my favorite. History that is passed down from generation to generation, that is not written in a book.

I am so happy that you feel that way. You can't find all of the information that I share in any one source. I have read not only all of the local history books that I have collected, but also the ones that my parents' did during the mid-20th century. The details that I've been able to glean from those books have sometimes been lost by the time the tales reach the books on sale today. I'm thrilled to bring back our more comprehensive local folklore to share with my guests. Thank you for being on the tour.
