I have used them twice now in NYC. The organization at the stops is non existent. A bus pulls up and people that are standing in some line rush to the bus like a herd of cow. No line control, the crew is rude and wont help because most cant speak english well. And you cant print your tickets out online you get a voucher to then have to find a Manager to print a ticket out for you or download an App to your phone to approve your ticket. Next you get on the bus DONT Sit Downstairs, the Diesel Fumes are strong and you cant see anything out the windows cause they are covered. The Upstairs is better. The automatic tour you hear through headphones is OK more loud music than tour information though and it gets annoying after a while. You hop on and off at stops but expect to wait 15-30 mins for a bus you can get on when its a busy day. Busses are full so if no one gets off at your stop you have to keep waiting. I wouldnt use them if you have a large group.

As soon as my son and I arrived in NYC, we exited the hotel and began walking south towards Times Square. We were immediately approached by a salesman who offered us a three day pass for $59 each. He made it sound pretty great ~ with the "hop on/hop off" feature so we went ahead and purchased. The buses were few and far between and they were filthy. The "tour" preloaded on stations that you could plug into using head phones were mostly just awful music. The last tour bus leaves Times Square at 5PM - which is not helpful at all if you find yourself somewhere else. The night tour is one continuous loop, with no stops. We ended up taking taxis if our destination was too far to walk. Spend your money on taxis instead.

From what I read, this is the youngest company of all of the hop on hop off tours. They have quite aggressive campaign, with around 5 people in each major stop haggling passerbys (very off-putting btw!) to purchase their tickets. You can negotiate, or even better buy online, for more value-for-money price! 1 morning we got on an empty bus. It had rained the night before, yet they didn’t bother to wipe the seats down before the first run. Also, we turned up for the Brooklyn tour 10 mins before departure. As per other comments, you need to get there early to get a seat upstairs, or you’ll be stuck downstairs in the “furnace room” trying to look out the window for the entire trip. They really should have considered a 2nd bus. Perhaps they need to get people to reserve for Brooklyn and Bronx tours, since they’re only run once a day. That way they can anticipate the numbers of buses required. Overall it’s a logistical nightmare. Every morning I see queues and no one seems to know what’s going on. The supervisors are ok-ish but there is definitely room for customer service for all of the staff in uniform. I would not pay full price. For those wanting quality, perhaps consider a more premium product. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.
