We had to cancel due to an injury. We called as soon as we knew we would not be able to make it more than 24 hours in advance, the email states you need to cancel within 48 hours, but we did not have the injury on TOPDOG tours timeline. They refused to help me in any way and were very rude on the phone. They charged me for the full price even though we called and canceled which should have been 20 a person. They don’t care if life happens to you. Be very careful.

Hi Doris, We felt we had to respond to this review as it is misleading and not correct. First off, you booked using the New York Pass, a pass that allows you to book a number of attractions and tours in the city for free at a reasonable price. All we as a company ask, is that you show up and have your passes scanned at the start of the tour to ensure that we get paid for your group. When you signed up you agreed (by checking a box for each of your guests) that you would show up and have your passes scanned or you would be charged the full price. You also agreed to our 48 hour cancellation policy. When you spoke with you on the phone we told you that since there was someone you claimed was injured, that all you needed to do was have one person in your group arrive at the tour start time and get the passes scanned and you would not be charged. You were not told you needed to attend, just have your passes scanned. We have people who do this almost every day for various reasons. The particular day you booked the tour was sold out and we turned away several guests. So by reserving 4 spots and not showing up, you cost us money and took spots away from guests who wished to attend and might not have been able to take this tour at a different time. We absolutely care when guests have issues, but unless every person in your group was injured to the point of not being able to take 5 minutes to get the passes scanned, the only person to blame for this charge is you. It's also ironic that you call this a scam when we've found that the real scam is people trying to cancel last minute. Our cancellation policy is extremely lenient, with most companies not allowing cancellations at all. We suggest that in the future you listen when someone provides instructions on how to prevent being charged. We gave you a clear way to prevent this.

James was absolutely incredible. He was humorous and very knowledgeable. He was also very respectful of everyone’s time. We are glad that we chose this tour. Our oldest son is big into the superheroes and it was great for him to be able to put some things into context!

Length of the tour was perfect. Some great and interesting facts/info about superheroes and the history in NY. Sam was an amazing guide. She was energetic and knew so much. My family and I really enjoyed it.
