This trip runs on Eastern Time.
You will get an amazing 3 mile tour just outside Chattanooga, Tennessee at Nickajack Lake and will learn about gray bats, osprey, cliff swallows, blue heron, and other wildlife. Your guide will discuss how they are all interconnected, what is being done to protect these wild animals, and what impact you can do to help the incredible endangered gray bat. We throw in a little history of the Tennessee River and how it became what it looks like today. With a grand finale of watching 100,00 gray bats leave the cave at sunset.

Our guides were amazing! They split the group well to keep up with everyone. When we were on the water, in our group, one guide lead and gave info about Knickajack Lake and the bats, while the other was there to teach any struggling kayakers. Everything felt very safe and orderly. It was a great trip!!

This was the coolest tour ever!! We came just expecting the bat cave to be cool, but we learned so much about the birds, the river, and so much more! They are super helpful and knowledgeable and we can't wait to try a different tour when we head through the area!!
