This trip runs on Eastern Time.
You will get an amazing 3 mile tour just outside Chattanooga, Tennessee at Nickajack Lake and will learn about gray bats, osprey, cliff swallows, blue heron, and other wildlife. Your guide will discuss how they are all interconnected, what is being done to protect these wild animals, and what impact you can do to help the incredible endangered gray bat. We throw in a little history of the Tennessee River and how it became what it looks like today. With a grand finale of watching 100,00 gray bats leave the cave at sunset.

We didn’t take any pictures but overall this was a great experience for us! I didn’t realise this trip was so long when we first started but it was so great to get out on the water and for the kids to see bats and be in the middle of a lake! Thank you to the guides for being very easy to work with and making us feel comfortable!

Rained out! But we figured out we could walk the path to the viewing platform. A bit underwhelming with way less bats than we anticipated. Could be that we were too late in the season (Labor Day weekend) *Must bring big spray. We got eaten alive!
