This trip runs on Eastern Time.
You will get an amazing 3 mile tour just outside Chattanooga, Tennessee at Nickajack Lake and will learn about gray bats, osprey, cliff swallows, blue heron, and other wildlife. Your guide will discuss how they are all interconnected, what is being done to protect these wild animals, and what impact you can do to help the incredible endangered gray bat. We throw in a little history of the Tennessee River and how it became what it looks like today. With a grand finale of watching 100,00 gray bats leave the cave at sunset.

It was so serene paddling to the river and enjoying the sunset. Great experience paddling out to the bat cave and enjoying all the bats swooping above and in front of our kayak!! Would definitely do the trip again!!

(Batman) Bill and Gina were knowable and personable guides out to watch the bats. Seeing the sunset on the lake and learning the history of the cave were bonuses.

Excellent guides and great experience overall. I would recommend adding a kayak request section when purchasing tickets. The way it’s written indicates adults will have single kayaks unless a tandem is requested. When our party of 4 arrived, we were told there were only 2 single kayaks remaining and two of us had to take a tandem. We are used to and prefer kayaking solo, so this was disappointing.
