Enjoy a beautiful scenic intermediate tour hiking along the coastline of the North Shore of Oahu with panoramic views of the Mountain and Ocean sides. At the top of the hike, there is a nice picnic table to sit at, giving a beautiful view of the North Shore. There is also an awesome rope swing that you can swing off of overlooking the lookout of the North Shore.

We booked a morning shore fishing trip with North Shore Tour Guides in Hilo. Kenny was our guide and he was a delight. He was funny and kind and very patient. We learned several new techniques and caught several small fish. It is catch and release but Kenny offered to meet us another day elsewhere on the island and he would show us where and how to catch the big ones to keep and eat. Sadly, we were at the end of our time on the Big Island but would recommend this tour and especially Kenny to anyone.

We did the beginner hick on the North Shore, it was ok. I had done several hikes on Oahu by the time we did this one and I was expecting something different, perhaps a stunning view like at the top of Diamond head or Pali lookout or perhaps tantalus lookout… it was nice but nothing like the other walks or lookouts. Our guide gave us some info on vegetation and he was nice but I was underwhelmed. I guess we wouldn’t of found the trail had it not been for him since the road looks closed off from the road so we did need to go with him to find the trail and we had lovely people on the hike with us but again I would not purchase this hike as an individual experience. If you purchase the go pass and love hiking just for the experience of walking somewhere without the payout of an unobstructed ocean view at the end of a 1.5 mile hike then this is for you. But again there are other places to hike where the final view is breathtaking

Aloha! we appreciate your feedback. We definitely have that hike for the wow factor which is the intermediate hike. The beginners hike is easier for families and an option to have somewhat of the same look at the top just not as high! If you ever come back, I recommend doing the intermediate hike! Epic experience and the hospitality our guide Tim showed was awesome. Mahalo for educating us on Hawaii’s rich history. That hike alone we all felt like Tim became a friend to us all because of the vibe and energy he showed to is. Awesome experience and Mahalo Tim!!!! We will keep in touch when we come back to Hawaii BRUDDAH!!!!
