My group went out with Ricky to the hot springs, which were great. The weather was cloudy all weekend, so i had low expectations of getting to see the northern Lights. However, Ricky insisted that he will do whatever he can to try and catch them. He called his friends to determine what area we should head towards and worked tirelessly to find a good spot for us until we saw the lights. I know that not every tour guide would do that, and that is why he deserves 5 starts (more if i could give him that)!

We could not have chosen a better company to tour with. Our guide, Clark, was by far the BEST tour guide I've had on any excursion. He is knowledgeable, accommodating, personable and genuine. He was on time, answered any questions we had and made sure everyone was having a good time. The value for this tour is so worth it. You get transportation to a remote location where you can do nearly a dozen different things. The Chena Hot Springs is a MUST. Make sure you bring your own towel and flip flops! We chased the Northern Lights for a few hours and got some amazing shots. The group we were in (8 of us total) was perfect. We meshed together as if we had known each other for years -- AND we even got to witness a marriage proposal by a couple in our group! This is an extremely well thought-out tour with full accommodations from pick up to drop off and everything in between. Make sure you book this tour -- it is so worth EVERY penny. And, once again, THANK YOU to the BEST tour guide, Clark!!!!

We were only in town for two days and booked this tour on our first night. We were picked up by our guide, Bill, who is simply the best! Since we were not in Fairbanks for long, we were worried that we might not be able to see the lights that night, but almost as soon as we were on the van, Bill told us the forecast for the night and what we would probably expect. We were picked up from our hotel, along with another pair. Our group was a total of 8 people including us, so there was enough room on the van. The drive to the hot springs is about an hour and a half, and we had a break part of the way through. The hot springs resort was pretty busy on the night we went, so there was a very long line for the restaurant. However, the cafe is another option for food. The hot springs were nice, Bill pointed out the small cave, the best rocks to sit on to relax, and the best selfie spot. We were very fortunate with the weather and the timing, as we manage to snap several great pictures of the aurora and saw beautiful dancing lights. On the drive back, Bill stopped at several locations for even more opportunities to see the lights. We really wanted to thank Bill for such a memorable night! At the very first signs of the lights, Bill came by and told us to head to the viewing room to take a look. Thanks to him, we managed to get great pictures before it got too busy. He also told us so many great stories about Alaska and his experiences. We can't believe that our guide is a movie star! He went above and beyond to make sure that we experienced as much of the lights as we could; he showed us a way up a small hill for another vantage point to hunt for the lights. If that wasn't enough, he also gave us great tips on taking pictures and even sent us some of his own! Thanks for the best tour we've ever had. -Cindy and Casper
