The biking experience in Central Park is enjoyable. My only dissatisfaction is with the company and staff. The process of checking in and out is hectic. Our assistant didn’t speak English which made it a little frustrating as he tried to help with bike gear etc.. My greatest frustration is with the return process. You must leave your drivers license with them during the rental which is my first concern. Secondly, after two hours of riding I had forgotten to collect my license and staff does not remind you. However, staff will remind you to return a blue lanyard they hand out at the beginning which I’m still trying to figure out what that was for. Bottom line this is a franchise with no local store front staff to call as all calls are all routed to some kind of call center. Needless to say, any issues can get frustrating as you are dealing with a third party at this point. If you forget your license be prepared to have to send them prepaid shipping if you want your items returned. I’d rather deal with a locally owned business and staff as any issues you have will leave you feeling displaced trying to resolve through this call center.

Unfortunately my daughters bikes gears did not work while we were in Central Park so we walked most of the 2 hours that we hired. I approached 2 members of staff on returning and was asked to email to explain as they didn’t do refunds instore. I askedfor a refund on one bike. I have emailed to and fro for 2 days. They have not offered a refund as yet. Time is short when you are in New York. I have found this firm to be inflexible despite their quick approach to take monies. I would suggest hiring bike from the Central Park entrance as it is cheaper and more convenient. Sadly this is not a firm I would recommend for cycling. Quick to take money but very poor customer service.
