If there's a specific area you're excited to visit, ask your guide. You can stay and explore the exhibits until closing.

With your entry ticket, you can also visit The Cloisters uptown on the same day. The Met has extended hours on Friday and Saturday evenings for a quieter, exclusive experience.

  • The Met Cloisters in uptown are normally open 10AM – 5PM
  • The pre-orientation experience option is shown as 2 hours long. It includes the 30-minute pre-orientation experience and then self-guided time in the Museum. You can off course spend longer than 90 minutes in the Museum if you want, but this is the minimum amount of time you should allow.

Not guided. Only times. Twice price of standard ticket. No lines to skip. Nothing special. Misleading. Would not recommend. Can walk up and purchase ticket yourselves for fraction of cost.

The tour guide always meets you. I am confused because I can not look at the reservation. Did you miss the tour and we sent the tickets. The self guided gets an orientation and we go in through the group entrance?
