Shark cage diving is one thing that I’ve always wanted to do and I am so super glad that I chose to do it with North Shore Shark Adventures! The crew, Colin, Captain Reece and the third hand (sorry for not recalling her name!), made the experience fun and helped calm the nerves of people who were uneasy. Definitely recommend the first tour of the day, 7am (6.30am check in time) due to choppiness of the water. My dad, sister and I were the second group in the cage, along with three other people. Despite holding onto an internal bar, we were being pushed around a lot into the cage and one person in our group threw up in the water. While watching the first group in the cage, Captain Reece said it was best to try and get further down into the water and avoid staying on the surface where it is more choppy. I did and found it better than the surface. The other thing worth noting is that due to unsafe conditions (rough waters and strong winds), a good portion of tours tend to get cancelled (from memory approximately 30% plus). If you are looking for something a bit different, I highly recommend the tour.
