Laura plantation tour was better than Oak Alley, but Oak Alley was prettier with the building being very Antibellum and the oaks around the property.

While the house tour was merely a memorized version of the brochure, the grounds ARE spectacular! And to walk from the stately mansion to the slave quarters and see the contrast of the lives was meaningful to say the least! The slave building are set up as a walk through tour with visual artifacts and descriptions. We really appreciated taking the time to see that and then have it followed up with a 15 minute talk more specifically after!
