This was a tour I would definitely recommend. The guides were very knowledgeable and plantation life was not glorified. You were able to see the deplorable conditions of the slaves if you chose to go to the slave quarters. There was a lot of history of the region included as well as cultural information about life during the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

Wonderful wonderful tour. The historical and genealogy research was amazing. And our bus driver to the plantation provided great information on the ride out and played wonderful blues and jazz music on the ride back.

This was a fabulous tour! We learned so much about plantation life in the Big Easy! The grounds were beautiful and the tour guides were well informed as well as entertaining. The driver on our bus was an awesome guide as well telling us all about the sites as we drove to the plantations. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in the history of plantation life in New Orleans.
