The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

I lived in San Diego for almost 10 years and I have to say this tour reminded me of the beauty around us. My husband and I have been kayaking before but this tour added so much to the experience. Our tour guide was Joe and he was amazing. He was thoughtful of his group (he knew my husband was seasick and offered him a ginger sweet before my husband even said anything) and was very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about the sea creatures and the habitats. We saw leopard sharks, fish and of course sea lions. We were lucky enough to see the sea lions give on a show with them jumping around everywhere. The caves were gorgeous and we came on a relatively calm day which was nice. Had a blast and will definitely bring our family and friends here in the future! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing experience! We saw dolphins, seals, sea lions, and a turtle. Our guide, Cali and Liam were awesome and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!!

Liam was a great guide. Very knowledgeable of the area. Kayaking is fun. I was slow and bringing up the rear but Liam was very patient.
