Przegląd
Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. You get 1.5 hours at the park, but don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

  • Tour time is a check-in time; departure is within 15 to 30 minutes.
  • The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
  • All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
  • A moderate amount of walking is involved.
  • No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
  • Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes

Captain Kevin, Courtney and Kris knew exactly where to go for all aboard to fulfill the dream of seeing a whale. Their whale knowledge and expertise was top notch and their passion regarding the species and the experience was unmatched! The bus drivers to and from Mendenhall Glacier offered interesting tidbits about the area that a lone tourist would never hear. The glacier and the waterfall were spectacular. Don't miss going on this one folks! And if you're lucky, like we were, and if the wind is right, you'll get the exhilaration of the smell of a whale blow.

Brenden, Tori and Dave were wonderful guides on the Whale Watching Tour, they were a blast to be around and very informative. We've done several Whale Watching tours in the past and this was by far the best. The boat made viewing easy and the whales were nice enough to put on quite the show. The Mendenhall Glacier Tour was also great, the glacier and waterfall beside it are beautiful and they have added boardwalks that made seeing the Salmon running spectacular. We were told they often see bears along here as well but they were feeling shy the day we were there. It was a great day, viewing some of God's beautiful artistry.

This tour delivered on whale watching. We did see several whales. Wish one would have completely breached the water; but this did not happen, during our tour. Captain Rusty and tour guide, Samantha, were excellent at their respective jobs. We had arrived early enough to request the 1:30 pm (1 hour earlier) tour and were accommodated. Mendenhall Glacier was impressive and included a nearby waterfall. The only issue was in regard to the transport from the whale watch to the glacier. The bus driver was tardy and I actually had to call Juneau Tours' offices. We learned that the time on the driver's phone was off by one hour. He stated that he thought this was the result of a recent software update. Anyway, Juneau Tours granted us extra time at the glacier to compensate for this mishap. It all worked out in the end.
