Take a 20 minute flight west over the inside passage to Prince of Wales Island, one of the largest Islands in the United States, and visit an official, United States Forest Service maintained bear viewing platform. Get-up close, safe, and uncrowded views of bears as they hunt for Salmon along the Dog Salmon Creek.

Gorgeous, amazing airplane ride to a secluded island. Make sure your camera has a fully charged battery! We saw so many bears, including a mama and her three cubs. Watching salmon, swim upstream, and the big bears fishing them out of the water was an experience we will never forget. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot. Rey professional. This is the second time we’ve taken this tour and would definitely recommend it again. The experience of a lifetime!

Our seaplane tour to Prince of Wales Island was incredibly special. The pilot was friendly and very good at his job, and our bear guides were wonderful and informative. The bear viewing was surreal and magical as we got up close and personal with a black bear as he feasted on salmon. A once in a lifetime experience.

This is the thing to splurge on! We saw everything we came for, and only ~20’ away. If you ever have them means, I highly recommended…
