It was the most horrifying experience i ever had in NYC. CarmeL Car service should be put out of business
And viator should have consequences if they allow vendors they cintract with for services to get by with these type if actions!!
We waited at airport pick up for almoat 2 hours
To be hung up on, screamed at, told that there was no driver available to pick us up, etc
They did not tell us there was no driver coming ever, until we called after waitingout in the extreme heat and dark for over an hour. I flew to New York as a female with a female nani, and. 9 year old little girl. Flight started off delayed in Houston. I stayed in touch with caramel on June 25 to advse of eventual 30 min flight delay, in arrival at Newark airport and upon arrival at baggage claim and they provided instructiions as to which place to await a driver. Each time i talked to dispatch previous to the horrific hour long wait at airport, they said nothing about not having drivers, etc. THey never ONCE indicated THERE WOULD NOT BE ANY AVAILABLE DRIVERS AND THAT I WOULD BE PLACED IN AN ENDANGERMENT SITUATION AT THE AIRPORT WITH AN 8 YEAR OLD CHILD THROUGH MIDNIGHT!! I finally was able to contract with another service for transportation to NYC hotel at double the cost. This is what carmel told me
They said i used a third party and did not pay enough money for the ride no driver was available for the low amount of money.
I am.not going to ever want to experience Ny service from sucha service like carmwl who will endanger my life at the airport through modnight with an 8 ur old child and indicate i may never be able to be provided transprtation to nyc city sice i did not pay enough money theough a third party, thus no driver was willing to pick up the ride.
I am now placed on hold for over an hour to cancel my return leg of the round trip i booked because i do not want to risk another situation with carmel. I am being told i am not able to cancel my return leg for a refund. Pls contact me immediately and provide a full refund for the return leg, as i cannot risk not being picked up for the airport in the morning of July 5 for a 6 am flight.
I expect a full refund for my june 25 transportation i never received and a full refund for my july 5 return trip i will not accept because of the risk of missong my flight when dealing with a substandard company such as carmel who endangered my life and my childs life by leaving us at the airport until midnight with no hopes or indication of if or when we could ever expect a driver stating we did not pay enough money for a driver to be made available. They said it was the third party company who did not charge enough and our refund had to be handled by them.
I will post a very unfavorable review and make known to others what risk viator is putting at amd letting them know the hassle of trying to get a refund for services not provided if this matter is not immediately resolved. I will most definitely post an unfavorable review for Carmel car service for the endangerment they place me in along with my 8 yr old daughter. I would like to say in my unfavorable review of carmel that this is an issue soley for carmel and viator kindly refunded my money and allowed me to pursue my claim with carmel as o will be filing a police report
