Captain Mike met us at the pier and took us to a brand new boat for our fantastic fishing expedition. I had paid for a salmon expedition for 3, but since the salmon hadn't been biting (this was confirmed by other cruise ship passengers after we got back) he offered to take us halibut fishing for the same price. We accepted. Capt. Mike was determined that we would catch fish. It took some time but we caught our limit. Everyone had a great time, and Capt. Mike had some great stories about the Alaskan wilderness that entertained us the whole ride back. He truly aimed to pleased. I don't think we could have had a better experience.

Our family of four spent a week in Ketchikan. We booked two 6 hour charters with The Alaska Catch and could not be more satisfied! We made reservations in advance and paid with no problems via PayPal. We met Cpt Jimmy each morning at the dock. They made it easy to find with a convenient location downtown, next to the cruise ships. After a quick safety briefing we cruised to the fishing grounds. The boat was clean, stable, fast, and comfortable. (Looked brand new to me.) Along the way we saw a pod of humpbacks breaching! We started each day halibut fishing and then focused on salmon. Captain Jimmy took his time and had patience with our two young children. We were novices to say the least and he made sure we were dialed in and helped us as needed after the proper instructions. We lucked out with good weather and the overall experience was great. Even if the fishing was slow, which it was not....I would recommend this company. Thanks for providing us with the highlight of our Alaskan vacation. We look forward to booking with you on our return to Ketchikan.

I, my wife and 2 friends went fishing with Mike on July 5, 2017 in Ketchikan, Alaska for 6 hours. We fished for halibut first catching our limit quickly and them moved on to fish for salmon, we also caught 2 very nice king salmon. Mike arranged for the fish to be processed and shipped home. It was a very good experience and Mike was professional, patient and informative. Mike seemed very much interested in making sure we caught fish. He moved us around to different areas to give us the best chance of catching fish and it worked! Mike made sure to get us back on the cruise ship with time to spare. I would highly recommend Alaska Catch Fishing Charters for your fishing expedition. Enjoying the fish :-)
