Lunch consists of a turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread, fruit, freshly baked cookie and water. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available with 48 hours advance notice.

We had done the Chilcoot Wilderness and Wildlife Viewing with Rainbow Glacier in the morning and was able to catch 4 bear (a mother and 3 cubs) in the morning so we decided to focus on scenery and learning how to take pictures with my camera in the afternoon. My wife and I spent the afternoon with Garrett doing the private photo tour. He did an awesome job teaching me how to use my DSLR as well as providing tips to my wife on how to get the best photos with her i-Phone. He took us to places where we had amazing views and helped us capture them with our cameras. I’m already a much better photographer because of the time we spent with him.

Garret was an amazing guide and person to spend the day with. He was very kind and knowledgeable and our lunch was delicious. He took us to beautiful places not on a typical tour and we also got to see the bears we hoped for and a bonus juvenile bald eagle up close.

Thanks for this great review. Juvenile bald eagles are often either overlooked, dismissed, or mistaken for golden eagles. But they are fascinating and beautiful in their own right, even thought they lack the immaculate white head and tail of the adults. Our guides can not only point out juvenile bald eagles, they can also determine their age based on their plumage pattern.

Had great time touring with Pat Kennedy. He took us to some beautiful photography locations and attempted to put us on some wildlife. Also showed us some neat tips for using the iPhone and had great advice about settings on DSLRs for taking photos of Northern Lights (future trip). He had a pretty big group and did a good job helping a wide range of photo skills.

Thanks so much for this great review of your time with Pat. I like how you mentioned that he took you to some great locations on the tour and that he also had time to talk about Northern Lights photography. You say he had a pretty big group and I guess that the perception of group size is relative. The largest vehicle we use on Rainbow Glacier Adventures tours hold a maximum of 14 passengers. Most of our vehicles in Skagway are Ford Transit vans that only hold 10 or 11 guests.
