Experience some of the most notable and best-preserved archaeological sites in the United States. Mesa Verde encompasses over 80 square miles and protects over 5,000 archaeological sites, including the famous Cliff Palace and nearly 600 cliff dwellings, some of which are more than 800 years old. Tickets for Cliff Palace are an additional purchase.
When you book this tour you’ll sit back and relax while our experienced, knowledgeable archaeologist-trained guide takes you around the National Park. With your guide’s knowledge, you will be able to ask questions, read literature, and listen to your own customized tour of the park.

PLEASE NOTE: We are NOW OFFERING CLIFF PALACE with the tickets. All guides have been trained extensively by our in-house archeologists.
This tour requires a 2-person minimum. If minimums are not met a full refund will be given. *Gratuity not included*.

The trip left on time and the two guides made everyone feel at ease from the start. They made sure to include me, as a solo traveler and engendered a friendly atmosphere that helped everyone to gel. They were knowledgeable, interesting and enthusiastic about the subject. Thanks for a great day.

What a great job Durango Rivertrippers does in the Mesa Verde Tour. Paul and Denise were our guides and between the two they provided an abundance of information! Great pace, organized, and well planned event made for the day to go by quickly and without incident! Do not miss this tour or company if you are planning a trip to Mesa Verde. The Pueblo settlements are well preserved, compact and easy to navigate. Thanks !

Mesa Verde is a must-see for anyone visiting in this area. From our first contact with Dave the experience was amazing. He was friendly and helpful. Initially we had asked for a group tour but there were no other people who had booked. Dave offered a full refund or we had the option of upgrading to a private tour. We chose the private tour and it was so worth it. Denise was our guide and her education in archeology and geology and her passion for it made this day unforgettable. She was warm and personable and you could tell she loved Mesa Verde. She came prepared with water, lunches and snacks and we had a delightful picnic. We highly recommend this trip and especially this guide.
