Mount Rushmore is more than just the carvings. They have secrets that are not easily revealed. GeoFunTrek's guides are local experts with decades of experience. We have no seasonal guides, part-time guides or trainees. This is a family-owned business and all tours are conducted by family members: Cindy, Christopher and John Esposti. We have the knowledge and skills to make your day one to remember. You will always get the A-team when you tour with GeoFunTrek Tours!
All tours are PRIVATE TOURS, exclusive to the group booking the tour, and no additional guests will be included. Children must be accompanied by one adult. Children 3 years and younger are free and will have their own seat. Children's car seats must be supplied by family members when required. Our largest vehicle, a Sprinter van seats 9, and a larger vehicle may be rented or we can add a Honda Pilot for larger groups. This is a great tour for 3-generation families with Children, multiple couples and groups of friends.

  • GEOFUNTREK TOURS SAFETY UPDATE COVID-19 Your comfort and safety are our primary concern. Take a private tour, limited to your group only and enjoy the day. We have only three guides: John, Chris & Cindy. They are family members from the same household. They constantly monitor each other’s health. So even when not at work “THE BOSS” is always watching.
  • We do not have vehicles with a wheelchair lift. We can accommodate a folding wheechair and the guest must be able to enter and exit the vehicle on their own. We will gladly assist with any needed assistance and pushing.

Wow! We had a terrific time! Our tour guide, Chris, was amazing. He was a walking encyclopedia! He was full of history and made the trip so educational and fun! He knew exactly where to stop for site seeing and photos. He answered our questions and took the time to make sure we got the absolute most from our day. We all highly recommend this tour! It was fabulous and appropriate for all types of interest! Yay Chris!

Chris met us at our hotel a few minutes before the appointed time. Then he took us on the tour exactly as it is explained in the web detail. In addition to Mount Rushmore, which we saw at a variety of different angles we then went onto Crazy Horse which is also fascinating in its own way. Then the trip to Custer for lunch followed by the trip to the National Park which became like a safari trip. We. saw hundreds and hundreds of bison plus mules, deer, Prairie dogs and animals we had never heard of like the Pronghorn antelopes. Being a senior couple he was mindful of our desire to have a “rest” stop at least. Every 90 minutes although he provided additional stops during the day. His knowledge of local history added immeasurably to our enjoyment of the tour, We highly recommend the tour. You won’t be disappointed. Sent from my iPhone
