White Pocket is a place so remote and amazingly unique that it can feel like you have stepped

into another realm where geology decided to bend the rules.

White Pocket's geological formation is made of a thin layer of white sandstone lumped up into

mounds and cracked into polygonal shapes, somewhat like dried out whipped cream. Under

this thin white layer reigns a chaos of yellow, orange and red swirls twisting upon each other. If

you are lucky enough to hike there after a summer thunderstorm, you will enjoy a myriad of

reflection pools, creating beautiful mirroring effects and infinite opportunities of otherworldly

pictures. It is definitely a visual paradise!

Yermo was great. His knowledge of the geology and history of the area was excellent and he communicated it well. His off road driving was also excellent; my wife has back issues but he was very careful

Yermo, an archeologist and jewelry maker is very knowledgeable and fun to be with for the day. He changed the tour as necessary based on our interests in rocks and physical capabilities. Yermo is safety conscious supplying tight-fitting masks and he's a great driver navigating rocky dips with skill. Definitely, would go for another tour!

Yermo not only educated us about the area, he entertained us with personal experiences which included safety tips, also alerting us to special scenic areas, & humorous but informative stories. Hiking in sand then on uneven terrain with beautiful views & photo opportunities We stopped for a picnic style lunch, self provided, saw only 2 black ants! Continued on to see more. Ride was a little rough but Yermo is a great driver. Pit toilet stops at beginning & end with outdoor stops along the way. All in all, a more than worthwhile tour with an extremely knowledgeable & fun guide.
