Przegląd

White Pocket is a place so remote and amazingly unique that it can feel like you have stepped

into another realm where geology decided to bend the rules.

White Pocket's geological formation is made of a thin layer of white sandstone lumped up into

mounds and cracked into polygonal shapes, somewhat like dried out whipped cream. Under

this thin white layer reigns a chaos of yellow, orange and red swirls twisting upon each other. If

you are lucky enough to hike there after a summer thunderstorm, you will enjoy a myriad of

reflection pools, creating beautiful mirroring effects and infinite opportunities of otherworldly

pictures. It is definitely a visual paradise!

We took the White Pocket tour with Rick from Dreamland. I required a significant amount of physical assistance that Rick proffered and provided. He got me to the wormhole and back in one piece with a bonus of the hidden hoodoos. Can't ask for more than that from a guide. I'd recommend Dreamland to anyone considering White Pocket, especially to those who miss out on the Wave.

I spoke to Kyle about arranging a trip to White Pocket from Page, as many of the companies only operate from Kanab. He got back to me and we spoke for about 30 min. He discused some options with me. As the date got closer I was contacted by "Okie" who said he would be our guide. I told him that I was interested in combining my trip to White Pocket with a stop at the "Maze" petroglyph panel too. On the day of the trip Okie was on time. he even had picked up some breakfast stuff and our lunches. We drove to White Pocket from 89A. Okie told us about the Page community and the various local sites. It took just over 2 hrs to reach WP. He walked slowly around the area, explaining the names of some of the features. He even took us to a small petroglyph feature since he knew I was interested in that. I took a lot of photos and I never felt rushed. The area was amazing. We left out the north and stopped at the Maze. The trip back over 89 he continued the tour talk. Overall it was a great day. I would gladly use this company again to book another adventure in the Kanab/Page area.

Had a wonderful day with Yermo in White Pocket area of Grand Staircase Escalante. Yermo 's many years of guiding is evident as he has in-depth knowledge of the area, along with the best places to stop to take in the incredible landscapes, as well as photo opportunities. Yermo definitely added a tremendous amount to our experience which is one we will not forget.
