Przegląd
This interpretive 3-hour jeep tour departs from Canon City and meanders through bright red towering spires and monoliths sculpted by the erosion of the fountain formation. Your geological tour through time includes a short walk out to "Overlook Arch" and a up-close look at dinosaur footprints left over 107 million years ago. You will see where paleontologists have been removing dinosaur remains for over 140 years from one of the most famous digs in history along with ancient Indian petroglyphs.

This scenic tour is just one of the amazing locations we visit from our office in Cañon City. If this tour doesn't meet your needs, we most likely have one that does. We offer tours and packages from 3 hours to all day. Be sure to see our other listings for more options.

Steve K was our guide. My family and I are from the East coast, and this was our first full day in the Canyon City area. The four of us got paired up with a mom and her daughters and we got along great, which is good since we're going to be in this jeep together for hours. We were blown away by some of the beautiful terrain and mountain vistas, but also learned so much about the history of the area, including the geological history. This was a worthwhile start to our vacation and we would happily do it again with Colorado Jeep Tours. Two thumbs ups!

Rick was our guide/driver. He was very knowledgeable about the local history from the Jurassic period forward. He was very skillful in negotiating switchbacks and getting us to places far off of the beaten track. Amazing views from the top of ridges and great narration concerning geology, dinosaurs and Ute Indian history. A great way to spend the afternoon.
