Natalie, our guide, was really friendly great to work with. Within an hour of booking the trip, she was reaching out, to find out what we were looking for, and making sure we knew what to expect. We told her we're not regular anglers, and were really interested in seeing the wildlife, and trying something new. We were really hoping to see some bears. We were picked up outside Icy Strait point and drove about an hour to the fishing spot. We made a small trek to a spot with some nice views, and hopefully some bears. While we didn't see a bear we did see a seal there. Back at the fishing location, we donned the waders Natalie provided, and made our way to the lake. She taught the less experienced ones how to use the gear, got them setup and used to it while on shore, then had everyone get in the water. The kids were able to hook a couple of fish, which excited them. I had never fly fished before, so she showed me how, and I gave it a shot for a little while. Her patience was greatly appreciated, and I'm sure we provided her a few laughs. On the way back to Icy Strait Point, we saw some black tail deer.
If I had to give a downvote for anything it would be the amount of time driving to and from the fishing location.
With that said, even though we didn't see any bears (the group before ours did), which is out of her control, it was still a fun experience. The business is 100% owned and operated by Natalie, and she is obviously working hard to do a good job.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a different, more personalized experience.

Thank you very much for the feedback. We are so happy to know that you enjoyed your experience and would recommend it to others. We regret that you were not able to see a bear like the morning tour did, but are glad you were able to see a seal, sitka blacktail deer, and catch a couple species of fish.
We appreciate your feedback on the drive times as well, and we will take note about communicating that better in the future. As your trip took place in shoulder fishing season (April), we had to drive to a fishing location a bit further away than our usual May-Sept fishing location (which is ~25-30 mins away). Sometimes the fish are at our usual (closer) spot in April, but unfortunately this year they were not quite moved in yet, so we elected for the longer drive to have better fishing. We stayed out a little extra time, so we hope that helped make up for the extra time in the car.
Best regards,
Natalie
