I was devastated that tour company I'd booked with (VIA a well known global name) and the reason I booked two nights in Denver - to see Pike's Peak - cancelled through lack of numbers. Apparently that's their pattern. It's also the scourge of the solo traveller. With no time to make other arrangements and no desire to trust them with an alternative I turned to the concierge who gave me a Colorado Sightseer's leaflet. Christin and her tour turned my experience around. She said the road was still closed to the top of Pike's Peak anyway so I already felt a bit better. About 8 of us set out the next morning for the Rockies. Christin's commentary was as smart, upbeat, witty and engaging as she herself is. The scenery was magical and Christin had thought of everything -Yaktraks, snacks, water, more water, loo stops, the lot. Christin obviously knows what to do with a good camera and it wasn't just for the keen amateur photographer in the party that she made sure there were great photos. Much appreciated, thank you. I've been in customer service all my career (more decades than I care to admit) and I can say unequivocally, Colorado Sightseer have NAILED it. I'm planning on seeing Northern BC to see bears next year and just got my globe out to see how much of a detour it'd be to go on the Pike's Peak tour, with no-one but Colorado Sightseer of course.
