This turned out to be a great way to get a tour and introduction to San Diego. It covers the main downtown neighborhoods and Coronado island as well. The tour guides seemed very local and in the know on what’s going on. The trolley was also fairly comfortable for a trolley, padded seats and decent leg room.

If you are in San Diego without a car, this is an awesome way to get around and see all the main sites. We only had one day, but if you had two days it would be well worth it. We stayed and got on in the Gaslamp and got off to see the Old Town Historic Park and the USS Midway museum and this filled one day. Also got off briefly on Coronado to take an emergency family phone call but did not do much there. Be aware the Hotel Coronado and property have a huge renovation going on now. All the guides on the various trolleys were knowledgeable and pleasant. Trolleys run every 30 minutes now, and on a Saturday we were always able to get on the next bus, but they usually did fill.

When I was in San Diego in March we took this bus for 2 straight days. We saw everything on my bucket list. It was fun, informative, and friendly. Everytime you get to a stop the bus driver tells you about the area and then he plays a song over the PA system that matches to the area. It was the very BEST way to see San Diego. All the stops are in great locations and the bus comes quite regularly. I would do this again in a heartbeat.
