On our Secret Food Tour: San Francisco, the Mission District, you'll see how immigrants shaped the neighborhood by creating brilliant artwork, beautiful architecture and sharing their fantastic food! Originally home to Irish, German, and Italian immigrants, it is now the epicenter of San Francisco's Latino culture.

The Mission District is full of vibrant murals that offer a visual history lesson featuring themes ranging from cultural heritage to social-political statements. We will take a stroll through the neighborhood to get an up-close experience.

Our secret food tour was much more than a food tour. Our guide Charlotte gave us great inside background on some of the restaurants, the wonderful murals and history of the area. I was born and raised in San Francisco, and I thought I knew it all. Charlotte took us to places that I have never heard of. Overall a great time and a great guide. Thank you Charlotte.

We take food tours whenever we travel, we took one last week in the Mission District of San Francisco. The tour guide Charlotte was terrific, not only was she knowledgeable but had an absolute delightful personality. We loved learning about all the murals in the mission district and Charlotte shared her knowledge with us. Our first stop for the pork burrito was delicious and the wine that went with it added to the experience and the soup at the end was excellent.
