On our Secret Food Tour: San Francisco, the Mission District, you'll see how immigrants shaped the neighborhood by creating brilliant artwork, beautiful architecture and sharing their fantastic food! Originally home to Irish, German, and Italian immigrants, it is now the epicenter of San Francisco's Latino culture.

The Mission District is full of vibrant murals that offer a visual history lesson featuring themes ranging from cultural heritage to social-political statements. We will take a stroll through the neighborhood to get an up-close experience.

I've been on many food tours across the globe and this one ranks right up there! Charlotte's enthusiasm and passion for food, flavour, and the people are contagious! Mission District is a perfect backdrop for this tour, not to busy, very interesting neighbourhoods and stunning street murals. A great experience for all, especially foodies. The Mission style burritos are the best I've ever had! And the ice cream, oh my! Highly recommend.

I've been to the Mission District before but not like this. The Secret Food Tour SF- Mission District was enjoyable for my daughter and myself. Charlotte is sooo nice! We loved her! She gave us insight to the murals about the artists/subjects and culture of the Mission District. There are lots of restaurants in the area and it was fun eating a variety of food. The food was good. I ordered a plate to go for later while we were at one of the locations. Charlotte was beyond accommodating to us. When I travel to another city that has this type of tour I'm going to book it. Thank you Charlotte for everything.

I have visited "The City" many times and haven't ventured to the Mission District because of preconceived ideas. I decided to stretch myself and take this tour and it seemed just right since I write about food and travel. Tour guide Kathy was on time and made sure the group stayed together. I was excited to visit a famous eatery which is family owned and recognized by James Beard. We walked several blocks to get a good feel of the culture and an appreciation of the diverse people and eateries. I don't want to say more because it would ruin the secret parts of the tour! My eyes were opened about this area and I realized I need to return again and again to the special Mission District. Taking this tour was perfect!
