My husband and I were in Savannah in March, 2019 and decided we would do an evening ghost tour. We were excited as we had read many good reviews on this site. Unfortunately, our guide, Brianna, was not one you would recommend to others. To begin, we did meet Brianne in Oglethorpe Square along with another couple and their daughter. Somehow Brianne managed to pick up two other young ladies so we had to wait while they figured out how to pay. So we started 15 minutes later which wouldn't have been a problem if the total of the first part of the tour hadn't been just 45 minutes...leaving just 30 minutes of tour! Brianne seemed to really like her new clients as she walked only with them at a rather fast pace. Again, not a problem if you are in your 20's and have long legs. By the second stop my husband and I thought we might pull a ghost act ourselves and just disappear but we soldiered on. As we past larger groups with animated guides, Brianne shook her head and said they were too dramatic. Too dramatic? Isn't that what you would want on a night ghost tour? So at the end of the regular tour, Brianne was saying goodbye when I had to mention to her that we had paid for the exteneded tour. She looked quite surprised (did she see a ghost?) but said ok. The extended tour was quoted on Trip Advisor as four additional sites. Still can't figure out why we only went to three (Could it have been that spring break was starting for her and she had plans to fly home that evening?) During this time, Brianne got stopped by a police woman for not having her guide identifcation showing, or even with her! This had us hanging out on the street waiting for her to conclude this business for another ten minutes. Our last stop was the Kehoe Inn where Brianne proceeded to tell her story of the history that made for ghostly happenings here. The best part was that is where we were staying. When we went back into the Inn I asked about the history that she had provided and they all started laughing, saying that she was mistaken but her facts were incorrect. I had thought thru the whole tour that was probably more the case than not. Her history of Savannah was a bit off the whole time. For example, she said there were 3 prohibitions that Oglethorpe put in place when he founded the city when of course there were 4. It was also a bit unnerving when she introduced all the beautiful live oaks by saying, "these are called spanish moss trees." Hopefully management will step up and retrain this young lady. When people pay money for a tour, they expect some level of professionalism. We received none. Our total tour time, including the extended time we paid for, along with the wait at the beginning and the problem with the police took only one hour. Wish we had gone with a different tour operator.
