My husband and I love going on ghost tours. We chose this tour because other reviews said it was done in a small group. We were in a group of 8 for our tour and it was incredible. Savannah ghost history told by locals in a smaller, intimate group. We had Tanaya as our guide and she was phenomenal! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone stopping in Savannah!

My daughters (ages 10 and 11) and I signed up for this tour not knowing what to expect. We approached Oglethorpe Square where we were to meet our tour guide. We saw Rebecca sitting on the bench with a lantern and off we went. We were with another family of five. It was a nice, intimate setting where we could easily hear the stories that Rebecca was sharing with us. At first, I thought my daughters were going to be bored walking from sit to site listening to stories. However, once they heard the first story of the spirit "Anne" and the 17 hundred 90 Inn, they were spooked and hooked! Rebecca was easy to understand, explained the stories with just enough detail and kept the tour interesting. We saw an enormous group of people (about 40) that were touring the ghostly sites and that did not look like much fun (the tour guide on that one had to YELL to tell the stories). Rebecca was very accommodating, took her time, there was never any rush and she really seemed to enjoy her time with us. There are a couple of details that are probably too "mature" for kids but mine didn't seem to focus on any that. My daughters talked about the stories for two days afterward ("which one was the scariest? Which one did you like the most?") I would say it made for some good family time and great conversation afterward. Be prepared with some GOOD shoes (I think the Savannah ground is harder than most!). We took another ghost tour the following evening (trolley) and it wasn't nearly as good, if you're into really hearing the stories. This was definitely one of the highlights of our short little trip to Savannah.

Thanks for reviewing your experience! I'm glad your daughters got involved. Since our guides have a variety of stories to tell, we can tailor some of our smaller group experiences to fit the mood. I hope you were left with some "haunting" memories and will see us again on your next time in town!

We weren't sure what to expect when we realized there would only two of us on the tour (we get a little shy one on one with people), but Marica made us so comfortable and was so inviting. My partner has dissociative identity disorder (previously multiple personality disorder) and that makes traveling a little stressful at times, not to mention tours and events. Anytime she gets uncomfortable or stressed, she tends to get amnesia and forget where she is and what she is doing. Needless to say, Marcia is one of the only tour guides we have ever had that was so engaging and wonderful that my partner was able to stay in the moment at every stop. That doesn't happen often, so I cannot express how grateful I am for Marcia's ability to tell a story, not just through her words but through body language, gestures, the whole nine yards. This was an experience we will never forget. Thanks so much.

I'm really glad to hear you both had a great time. Our 7-day-a-week schedule lends itself to smaller groups, and rest assured, that even in larger groups we are happy to accommodate guests with special needs and interests.
