The forecast was calling for heavy rain and lightning less than 1 hour into our scheduled departure for a 90 min air boat adventure and the operator said if it stormed, we would park under a bridge! He further explained that he sat under a bridge for 45 minutes the day before. Not interested in paying over $300 to be stuck in a lightning storm with kids on a boat! Still trying to get a refund.

Hello Michael Poteet, Your scheduled tour turned out to be the most beautiful tour of the year. It was truly AMAZING, and we are so sorry that you chose not to attend due to forecasted bad weather later that afternoon. We saw large gators, manatee, eagles, and even saw some hatchling gators for the first time this season. ZERO rain or lightning during the tour, as the bad weather did not come in until later in the afternoon, which is very characteristic of Florida during this time of year. The other riders on the boat said the tour was the most AMAZING tour they have ever been on. As stated while you were at our facility, a refund WILL NOT be issued unless the tour was cancelled, this was the best tour of the year thus far. It was not canceled and was truly AMAZING! We took lots of pics of how beautiful the tour was to show you guys, I’ll send you some to show your family, as I know that they were very disappointed in your behavior/decision. All the best! Hubby and I took weekend trip to Jacksonville/St. Augustine and went on the airboat ride with Captain Becca. Saw a few gators and birds. Something new and different to do on a trip that you just can't do everywhere. Enjoyed it, but not necessarily worth $75 per person. (Found coupon on their website...normally $99) Other than the noise, couldn't tell we were on an airboat...felt like other john boats I've been in on our local Lake. Would recommend to family and friends. Much better seeing wildlife in their natural setting vs. a zoo or park.

The airboat safari was the perfect combination of thrill ride, scenic cruise, and informational tour. The faster parts thrilled then when we slowed down, we took in the local scenery and saw beautiful local birds, fish, and a couple of gators. We also learned so much about river and swamp life and the local area. The tour was longer and more varied than we expected...in a good way! A big thank you to Capt. Mike for being our fearless and informative guide and for the perfect recommendation for a date night at Caps on the Water--we loved it!!
