With only one main road on the island, you’ll have the option to explore either the West & South or East & North sides during our time together. Most days, I guide guests through the stunning landscapes of Waimea Canyon, but the choice is yours!

Each tour is designed to be flexible, allowing for surprise stops and spontaneous moments. There’s no set itinerary, but plenty of adventure awaits!

We started our first full day on the island with this tour. Thought that would help orient us to what is available and hoped we would get some ideas from our tour guide. Our tour guide, DJ, texted us the day before to arrange pick up point and we went back on forth on the real potential of bad weather for our tour. Very helpful with planning for our adventure. Before the jeep arrived it was a rainy, overcast day. We knew this could be a possibility and the weather on Kauai is very different on different parts of the small island so we rolled with it. DJ was very polite, introduced himself to everyone in our family and off we went. typically he would go straight for Waimea Canyon, but it was covered in clouds so we went out to Polihale State Park. this is hard to get to and most everyone we talked to afterwards was surprised we were able to to get there being tourists. Very nice beach and views. This gave us enough time for the clouds to burn off and them we went to the canyon. DJ was very engaging and did his best to answer all of our questions and relay his knowledge of the island. He stopped at some great vantage points on the canyon and was more than willing to take pictures of the whole family. Having his knowledge of how fast the weather changes at the top of the canyon was great. in a matter of 10 minutes the clouds that surrounded us at Kalalau Lookout slowly moved out allowing us a nice view before returning. very cool experience. We spent a lot of time on those 2 stops and DJ was a good sport through the tour. When we asked to keep going through lunch to get more in he was more than happy to do that. We made a couple more stops on our way back to our resort in Lihue by the end of our tour. Once again, DJ was very helpful and a wonderful guide. He gave us plenty of ideas of other things we could visit for the rest of our trip. No we did not visit any waterfalls with DJ, we just did not have time, but had the opportunity to see some on our journey. Despite the poor weather on the outset of our trip we had a great day with DJ.

Had a great time scoping out the island with DJ as our guide. First we checked out the Spouting Horn before heading up to see the beautiful Waimea canyon & Waipo'o Falls. Stopped at a number of strategic points at various elevations for scenic views and pictures. Ultimately we made it up to Pu'u O Kila Lookout to see the stunning and incomparable look down into the Kalalau Valley to the Napali coast - fortunately, even the weather was cooperative. Stopped for a brief bite to eat and shopping break in Waimea town before swinging by a remote

My husband and I booked our honeymoon in Hawaii, with Kauai as our last stop. We were looking to do more relaxed activities as our honeymoon wound down, and our Kauai Jeep Tour hit the right notes for us. Our tour guide, Simon, went at just the right pace and brought us to a lot of picturesque lookout points along the road, going from our hotel in the southeast part of Kauai all the way to the warmer and less populated west. We saw a beautiful view of the Waimea Canyon, the Polihale beach, a sea turtle and a monk seal sunning themselves on the beach, and even a deer, which Simon mentioned is a very rare sight on the island (even he hadn’t seen one in person). Throughout the trip, Simon was very chill and knowledgeable, going at a pace that was just right for us, and giving us options for what sights to see and which ones to skip, depending on our preference. During one of our stops, he also picked some fresh fruit for us (different types of guava), which tasted great. We also stopped at Kauai Coffee Company, which I recommend you do if you’re a coffee lover (their Typica roast was my husband’s favorite). That was a good suggestion by Simon and not in the brochure, so we appreciated it. Overall we definitely enjoyed the tour and were grateful for the atmosphere Simon fostered for us. Sometimes on vacation it’s easy to get lost in the rush of things, so a nice relaxed tour is just what we were looking for. Thanks!
