My sons (10, 15) and I enjoyed an early morning lesson with our positive and patient instructor Jimmy. My husband and 13yo son took pictures of us from the breakwall and made sand castles in the shade while watching us surf. So it was a fun family time even though we were not all surfing! FYI, the section of water set aside for lessons is pretty small and gets really crowded with inexperienced people with large surfboards so I strongly suggest doing the early morning 7:30 lesson as it is the least populated. Because the waves are so gentle and the instructors are so good at giving the perfectly timed push into the wave... literally everyone is able to stand up!

I booked a semi-private lesson for my 12-year old daughter and me. I have to admit I was a bit hesitant when we arrived because it looked like a garage. However everyone there was so nice and welcoming. They set us up with our instructor Mason, who was a great teacher and took care of us the whole time. I got a little tired so he focused on teaching my daughter. She caught so many waves and loved his instruction. Thank you so much for great memories!
