My husband and I took the Temptation Ultimate Tour to Hana on April 25, 2018 while we were on our Honeymoon. It was an intimate group with two other couples. The breakfast meal in Paia at Mambo’s Café and lunch at the Traveaasa Hotel were very good and an upgrade you would not receive on other tours. Our escort was Scott Ferguson, Hawaii State Certified Tour Guide, who was outstanding. From his knowledge of the islands and his attentive service Scott made the tour first class. He did so many little things that we felt went above and beyond what others might do. When we encountered some rain and there was a great view coming up, Scott would jump out and squeegee the windows so that everyone was able to capture the best pictures. We made numerous stops and Scott would point out advantageous views for taking the best pictures. He volunteered many times to take pictures so that my husband and I could both be in it together. Scott did not just drop us off at destination points, he always got out of the van and accompanied us to each location, pointing out interesting details and sharing information that we would never have had if we were left on our own. The van accommodations were very spacious and comfortable, with wide windows for capturing all the views. Eighteen years ago I visited Maui and choose to drive the road to Hana. The drive is doable, but I never enjoyed it because my focus was on the road, many curves, and one lane bridges. I missed all the dramatic views others were enjoying. Traffic has really increased since I took that drive, and you will need the confidence to navigate and watch out for the other drivers. Additionally, I did not have the insider knowledge that Scott provided on some of the best places to stop, or avoid. I read many reviews on tours to Hana before we selected this one, and having taken the tour, I know it was the best one we could have chosen. It was worth the money and truly a first class adventure. If you are thinking about a tour to Hana, we would highly recommend Temptation Tours, and I would ask for Scott, he really made the difference. We don't believe you will be disappointed.

You are correct, the Road to Hana is an Iconic road that is on the “must do” list when visiting Maui. As your review notes, it can be challenging and often the driver ends up missing the amazing sights because it does command 100% attention. We agree that the only way to truly enjoy it is by letting an experienced Driver / Guide take the wheel and Scott is one of our most requested Guides. His attention to our valued guests and adept hand at photography makes him a stand out amongst an already talented group of seasoned guides we have here at Temptation Tours. Add a Custom Built Limo-Van that seats 8 guests with individual Captain’s chairs, made of soft leather, and you have all the makings of a wonderful tour. Our Hana Ultimate tour compliments all this with delicious food at 2 amazing restaurants (Cafe Mambo in Paia and the Historic Travaasa Hana Hotel’s restaurant, The Preserve). We booked this trip through TripAdvisor on April 3rd. We were greeted by Scotty at the heliport in Hana. We was very welcoming and accommodating. We had a group of 6 so we had the tour bus to ourselves. He provided us with the details of the trip back from Hana to Kahului. He is very knowledgeable with the history of Hana, his driving of the winding road, and his one-handed photography skills. He took many photos/videos for us along the road, many places we would not have known had we driven ourselves. The stories he shared made the drive back much quicker than I thought. We had lunch that he setup at one of the beaches. We stopped at several places including the Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach, one of the beautiful waterfalls and several other scenic stops. I would share the video of me swimming back from underneath the waterfall but I don't want to scare anyone. The water temperature was quite cold for an April afternoon. I will certainly remember it. Thanks Scotty for a memorable drive back and sharing your stories. I would certainly recommend Scotty to anyone who is looking to book this trip.

We definitely agree that driving the Road to Hana, one of the Nation's Millennial Trails, is best left to an experienced person so that it can be truly enjoyed. Enjoying the Iconic road in a custom built Luxury Limo-Van that seats 6 to 7 passengers with soft leather Captains seats is definitely the way to take in the view and coupled with a 36 minute flight-seeing tour is truly a value added bonus. Took this tour as a shore excursion on Norwegian POA cruise. Group of 8 with driver/guide, Michael Devlin who was very knowledgeable about everything we saw along the trip-history, plants, trees, and everything we saw along the way. We had a delicious outdoor picnic lunch complete with a tablecloth at a picnic table at Hana Bay. All the stops along the trip were very interesting, with adequate time to see things and take pictures. Water and snacks were also provided. The day was fantastic. Highly recommend this trip!
